12.5 miles yesterday afternoon. It was the first weekend afternoon in a long time where it wasn't in the upper 80s or 90s so it was nice to get out and enjoy some pleasant weather in the daylight hours.

^^^Love those pics, clarinetplayer.

Rob, this scenery you speak of, pics? smile.gif

4 miles late this evening. It was the first fitness activity I'd had since Wednesday. Felt great.

the usual 8mi tonight, legs felt really good. About halfway-through ran into a (cute) friend and her (very cute) friend. And like every single time I bump into someone during a run, I had the hardest time stringing even basic sentences at first, all of them with 0 ounces of repartee. It's not that I run that hard, but something about the workout just takes my social skills down to Kevin Malone-level. Which combined with a level of sweating not seen since Patrick Ewing hung up his hi-tops, does not make for an effective combo. When I read people recommend running spots as a good way to meet people it always makes me wonder if they're being facetious.

If Dennis Miller did a skit on socially Awkward running and former NBA greats, it would be this.

Oh, I should try to wake up earlier and run every day from now on. It's time to exercise my body if i want to keep healthy.

I only run early when I'm away, when I'm home and off, I like to sit and relax, usually don't get out until 11 or even noon sometimes. When I have work I never run in the AM.

I like to run on an empty stomach, so the morning is the best time for me. I don't think it's a reflection of any particularly upstanding character. biggrin.gif
