Went out today although I still have muscle ache from my hill sprints on saturday / workout yesterday (it's always the butt!).
30mins slow / 20mins fast / cooldown

3 miles mid-afternoon after arriving in NC from Michigan. I was up at 3 a.m. today and yesterday for flights, and was beat. The run helped energize me for meetings later in the afternoon.

Cold, wretched, clammy, rainy (100%) day. No run. cry.gif
This rain system better clear up by tomorrow. I'm running a charity 5K race named for a former student who died a tragic death when he was only 20. Gotta run that race no matter what the weather. But, today, I will be a coward.

This morning, I ran a 5K race named in memory of a former student. Temps in the low 50s and dry. Perfect running weather. Prior to the 5K race, there was a 1 mile race for elite runners. About a dozen "running machines" were there. The winner did it in 4:15. Very cool.

I kept an 8:30 pace which is very good for me. There were about 200 in the 5K race.

Why is it when I finish a race that I want to do another...right now?

I have switched back to Newtons and really like my new Gravity shoes.

Glad it cleared up for the race...great cause.

I also hear you on the immediate want for another race after one finishes, most are such GREAT events.

I have two new pair of Newtons to be delivered to work this week for my summer running. Did the Brooklyn half in a 7:30 pace without really training, hoping to train for the Staten Island half at the end of Sept, and cut my time a whole lot.
