Is anyone up for a sf running group?

Slim pickins on SF - from what I can tell Quevola and I are about as geographically close as any other two consistent posters and are only in the same area for races. I will say that running clubs are a good resource (and very unassuming/usually made up of kind and intelligent human beings).

We do have a good virtual running group though!
9 miles for me today, with one 5:50. Felt good to actually run a little bit.

got in some solid runs over the weekend in preperation for TNFEC Bear Mountain 50 miler this weekend.

Friday – Steady state run at half marathon pace 6.17 miles in 41:25 with the 4 fast miles at 6:11, 6:11, 6:17 and 5:54
Saturday – Mountain run – got in 10 miles in 2:10 min and also managed 8,000+ ft of vertical change. This was tough but also a real eye opener.
Sunday – Easy run, got in 7.85 miles in 53:34 in central park and legs were feeling ok even after all vertical on Saturday

Only time for 2 miles this evening prior to a session at the gym. A very fast two miles.

put down 10.5 or so today with one decent hill. Miles I am looking forward to hearing how the 50 goes, let us know how it goes - you seem to have gotten in a good block of training.
Signed up for a 5k may 19.

about 3.5 in the rain today ... trying out some new shoes, Asics Gel Strike 3. Was running on some NB Four-20s previously. I don't know a lot about shoe differences but they're comfortable, fit well and felt good during the run so we'll see.

6.5 this morning. Everything got really tight after about 4.5. I finally stopped to stretch at 5.3, and all was better thereafter. Should have done it right away.

Bay to Breakers coming up in less than three weeks. I'll be hitting the hill at the Cliff House at least once a week until then to get ready for the Hayes Street hill.

Nice myles - good luck at Bear Mountain. I just saw Unbreakable, the doc about the Western States 100. Ultramarathoners are some bad@ss mofos.

10 miles.

3 miles this morning. I had a good workout last night that made running a chore this morning.

I'm not, the guys doing 6 min miles and 70 mile weeks are the real runners - I'm just a nearly middle aged person who entered a marathon in a moment of weakness and is quite good at applying willpower to a problem smile.gif
