4 mile race on the paths above my house, don't know what time it was but I think I came last on raw times. Two months and I'll have a proper handicap and know how to pace myself properly as well as have a half marathon under my belt.
5.5 miles, quite slowly but Ive entered my first marathon in October so my emphasis is distance rather than speed. Sadly it all seems harder at 36 than it did at 26!

The Kielder Marathon, its on hard packed trails and paths around Kielder Reservoir, I think Europes biggest man made reservoir. I've done the Great North Run before (1/2 marathon) but hated the crowds and the concrete so seems like a logical progression. Scary distance though!

Am pretty fired up by the fact that i ran 70+ miles this week and my legs feel fresh. Still have a ways to go but the blocks are continuing to build up.
There's a reason that a) we don't have a hose pipe ban and b) Barbours heaviest jacket is called the Northumbria! Good for the soul and the heart and lungs though and makes you appreciate the calm days..
