How many miles did you run today? - Page 393

easy 6 today.
trying to get amped up for a second run.

Last nights treadmill 8 miler ended up being closer to a tempo (6:40 -> 6:00) because I just put on my headphones and covered the treadmill screen with a towel. Went for 11 songs, speeding up as I felt like it. When I took the towel off I realized I had overshot the mark. I think I sweated all over the people in my immediate area . . . sucks for them.

4 miles this morning. Temp around 34, no wind. The 6 inch snowfall we received a few days ago has mostly disappeared. Hooray.

normally Friday is a rest day, but I dusted off an old (but largely unused) pair of DS-Trainers for a quick 4-miler. 28:20

I decided this morning that this would be my rest day, but it's a beautiful sunny day and kinda warm. I may try to get a run in after work.

I thought about it because I had a headache and hit the snoooooze button, but thought...nah. better run. Thank heavens I did because the issues have been coming fast and furious this morning.

Furlough day for the school district today (yay for California budget insanity!), so I took my son to ride his bicycle along with me this morning. What I thought would be a relaxing 4-mile run turned into a sprint when he took off after about a mile. censored.gif He never thought to look back to see if I was there, and I never caught up to him. So, one easy mile followed by three miles about as fast I could maintain over that distance.

I really do love where I live. My runs this week are going to be slow and leisurely so I'll have lots of pics...hope you can see why I love living and running where I do: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This morning, wind chill 20 degrees. Snow falling. I've been so spoiled, this winter, with unusual banana belt weather. It took awhile to toughen up. It is February, after all.
5 miles. Still pumped up by the Red Wings' 22nd consecutive home victory. Hoping for the best, tonight, when Michigan plays OSU.

Will it be the WIngs and Blueshirts in June? You think theyre peaking too soon, no way they can keep this torrid pace up throughout you think?

The Wings have made adjustments since last year, and it is paying off. With this string of victories and the announcement of next year's NHL Winter Classic in Detroit and Ann Arbor, there is a new buzz around town. The players say that they sense it in the crowds. We have become so used to excellence that the mid season was boring until the playoffs. That has changed. Also, we do not have the injuries to our key players as we did last year. Come next January 1, there will be an invasion of Canadians in Michigan. Canada--the country that is actually south of Detroit.

Man, you're really fortunate to have views like that. I'm jealous. Enjoy!

I was enjoying a wonderful run this morning until I caught an excruciatingly painful cramp in my foot at mile 5. My plan was for at least 6 miles, and I was well on my way towards that goal when I just couldn't take the sudden pain I felt. Although I was glad to get in 5 miles, I'm pissed I didn't get at least 6, particularly since I was feeling so good. As for my foot, I'm still having trouble putting all my weight on it. ffffuuuu.gif
