Yesterday I ran 12.6 km. Although I was slow (1:08) I really enjoyed going for a longer run than normal.
Now I just have to increase my distance and start hiit training and i'm off for a half marathon.

Yesterday started again with 4 miles. Legs not feeling very good, despite some days of rest. Not quite sure how to proceed, but I think I'll need to keep it slow and steady now. Maybe look for some specific exercises that I can do to help. I really need to figure out how to do this better so I can keep enjoying it, otherwise I might be better off doing other types of exercise.
I guess I'll be among the last to finish in the 10k I've got in slightly over a week now. I just hope to finish it without problems.

A couple of thoughts.....one is to push through it and past it, with a very long run:
1. Do you hydrate while you run?
2. Top off on gu or some energy gel before you run
3. Caffeine is your friend and you can always hit a couple of espresso shots before heading out
4. Get plenty of rest
5. Stretch alot.

Or rest more and see what happens.
Diet also plays alot in how you feel on a run (well for me it does).

anyone doing this tomorrow? i haven't run in over a week, and will use this as an easy run (plus qualifying for the NYC marathon).

i'm kinda scared about the upcoming brooklyn half marathon (next next saturday) but I know I can just run to finish it anyway.

i like the fact that this race's tshirt is actually a teck-wicking shirt. i wonder if the other NYRR races will be too.

9 miles, today, I put new liners in my shoes, HOLY **** were they horrid. Gave me blisters.
I stopped at 4 miles took them out and ran the rest of the way on the raw soles of my shoes.
My feet really feel bad now, but Im shooting for 18 in the morning and then I begin tapering to race day on the 29th.

UAE HEALTHY KIDNEY 10K race at central park this morning. nice weather 60F+ sunny and tons of runners (almost 8 thousand). i like the 10k in central park because you actually run around the whole park. I also liked the later starting time, 9am, which made waking up on a saturday morning a little easier.

i think my favorite thing about this race was the t-shirt. it was a chepo tech wick shirt (at least), but it was WHITE... and a ton of participants actually wore it during the race.. which meant tons of ladies with nipples on display/wet t-shirt contest at spring break thing going! Sorry I didn't get to take pictures.. but did sneak some looks at the plentiful boobies on display.

Blew out my ankle 9 miles from home on with 13 miles under my legs....not a good week of running...I have a race in 2 weeks, so I guess taper is forced!

First time I have ever stopped and walked, then stopped all together and sat on the side of the road. Called home to get a ride....

Had a charity roller hockey tourney all weekend (The Rebecca Fund for Childhood Autism)...3 games yesterday, 2 today...exhausted, but still managed a respectable 4.6 this afternoon after it was done.
