4.5 today, all beach no shoes...was a real workout as much of the sand was "quick"...and by quick I don't mean fast.

Running on the beach is not easy to do, certainly not for 4.5 miles. My hat's off to you.

Thanks Jay, got a nice blood blister on my right foot. It was one of those "eh, we'll see how far I go before I get tired" runs.

I ran 5 miles this morning. A decent run but I was glad when I hit the 5-mile mark and could call it quits.

Did my usual 4 mi with lots of hills. Need to find some new routes, getting bored of the same ol'.

Nice job, sbb. I like that you have some fun with the race gear.  I was just in NB a week or so ago and went on a few runs. Even though the weather was amazing, I have to say it was nice to come back and run in the cool SF fog.

Thanks for asking. I'm training for marathon #54: Twin Cities Marathon, which is USA Track and Field Masters Nationals for the marathon distance.
8mi today to ease up before 16mi tomorrow including 10x1mi repeats on the track.

I really miss running up and down hills. It's as flat as a pancake where I live now, which takes some of the fun out of running, and cycling in particular.

10 easy today in Frank Hahn State Park in LA at sunset. Was cool to see the skyline/smog/etc/sunset all together. I had to go to Opening Ceremony so I figured I would just stop somewhere on the way and get my ten in.
Long tomorrow and I will be close to 90 for the week.

Out of curiosity, are you training for a marathon or just for the sake of fun?
I've stopped doing real long runs so only 13 miles today....

I get bored with the same routes, too. running the last mile back to my house is pure tedium.

Some areas I enjoy in SF:

Land's End trail and Sea Cliff
over the top of Twin Peaks
trails on Mt Davidson (beware poison oak- supposedly they have cleared it now
Pacific Heights
Presidio
trail in Glen Canyon park
Fort Point to Aquatic park has good views

4 easy miles this morning. The Florida heat was in full effect at 9am.

16mi this morning. Sunny, 76 degrees, light breeze out of the north. 4mi warm up, then 10 one-mile repeats at 7:00/mi with 60 second rest interval. 2mi warm down. Bit of a challenge on an 80-mile week, but was glad to be able to pull it off. Had the track all to myself, thank goodness.
