congrats. I was there too, except I was running the 5k hehe.
ran my first 5k today, 20:50. I'm pretty pleased.
That's a really good time for your first 5k.

been going to the local state park. they have parallel bars and chin up bars and **** every 40 yards so the idea is to sprint between stations, do your bw exercise then continue through 20 some odd stations and 3 miles. is a good time.
Im going to be in LA in a few weeks, staying out by the airport, am I better off running on a treadmill or is there a decent route out there?
11.2 miles (18 km)...Longest run I've ever done. Felt awful after.
You're getting to the point where you can't really run without replenishing in mid-run (and not crashing afterward). I use gels during the run, and then pick really salty snacks afterwards. Some people suggest loading up on salt the night before the run (or race), or using salt tablets.
