Yep! Try the Free version first. It does the mapping and timing and such.

I didn't think I'd need the features of the Pro, but bought it anyways because I thought they did such a good job on the Free. But the features have really been pretty cool.

I know the feeling. LOL on the bike thing, and I did similar while running in a park a few years ago, She was really struggling with the uphill thing, and I certainly didn't help matters by picking up the pace! Today: 4 miles, working on forward lean and lighter footsteps. 30 minutes and change. OH - if you wear the adidas Supernova Classic and don't mind last season's colors, Amazon.com has them on sale at very reasonable prices.

Skipped Sunday to do lawn work and related crap.

Today: 5 1/3 miles: 42:31.

On the one hand I really like the efficiency of the forward-lean mid-foot strike, but my habit keeps reverting to the more leisurely heel strike, as though it was more 'natural'.

Apparently I have bronchitis, so I'm taking a week off. It pains me at this point, since I have two races in early October.

Lost track of time last night, so in my hurry to get out the door and get my long run in before it got dark I forgot my water, can't do my long runs without it. Next time!

Took the last few days off as well, due to a "mild case of bronchitis". I also have a big race coming up in October.

4.4 miles. One of the best runs I've had on one of the hottest days in the NYC summer. Just moved downtown so I'm learning the routes around this area. Today was simply from the apartment over the Williamsburg Bridge and back. Perfect route for a simple run.
