11 miles this afternoon, taking advantage of beautiful weather in Chicago. Ok, I'm also trying to drop a couple pounds before I fly out on Sunday to spend a week in the Caymans

NOICE!

Sounds like I'm going to have to get some more speed in these legs to keep up!

Hey guys,
I'm about to switch from some Adidas running shoes to VFF's. Should I drop my mileage down from 10 miles 3 x/week to around 3 or 5 miles 2x a week to allow my feet to adjust or should I just maintain current mileage? I'm concerned about losing some endurance if I drop down for too long...

Ran an 8K today for giggles with a client and his surgical team.
They ran about 10 minute miles, and that really hurt....
So, I went home and ran another 8, the "race" was a great warm up.
Just signed up for a bunch o races this weekend too.
Do we have a list going of races?

I'm still recovering from mine last Sunday. Our team ended up light on attendance, so we played a couple of games without any subs.

So I've perused the elliptical and stationary bike machines on cardio days this week. Did put in an easy 4 miles run this morning though.

Ahhh, you played Savage. I love playing savage, I don't get goin til I'm drenched in sweat. Also very fun to just outwork out of shape college kids. I'll be sore tomorrow though, ultimate requires a very specific conditioning that I just don't have right now.

Do you play club or college?

Neither right now. Last week was the first week of a local spring league (7 consecutive Sundays, 2 games each).

I played at college sectionals the one year my school had a team (my senior year, naturallly ). Didn't advance as our division is stacked (UT Austin, North Texas etc.), but we did well and it was boatload of fun.
