I was pulling on the heaviest clodhoppers I have when I thought...wait, let's go fast today. So I pulled on the speedy shoes (Mizuno Inspire) and went at it - 4 miles, each progressively faster, 29:23

Didn't have much time to run this morning, so I concentrated on speed. 2 miles in 15 minutes. This is very good time for me. I need to push myself.

Did two new personal bests this morning, one ran 10.2km in one hour six minutes averaging a 6 min 25 second per KM speed. During the same said run, I cranked off 5km in 30min, 40 seconds. :slayer:

Starting to taper for the 2.5mi contest next thursday.
Pretty tough though as I have nothing to do and enjoying a long weekend.

So the plan is:
Yesterday: 2.5km swimming
Today: ~60mins slow
Tomorrow: Swimming
Sunday: Roundabout 60mins running with some sprints in the end
Monday: warmup / 3x1000m / cooldown
Tuesday: off
Wednsday: 10min warmup, 20min increased speed, 10min cooldown
Thursday: Contest

Sounds like a plan or not tapering enough? :-\

edit. Run today was kinda bad. Legs felt tired.

Gonna try and get out for a few miles today (got me some new Newtons) but I'm sick a-freaking-gain! I've been sick 6 times in the past calendar year. Anyone else get sick this much? I thought as much as I run/work out I'd be the healthiest human on the planet. I've not had a drink in over a month and not had gluten in 2 weeks...WTF?
