3 miles @ 8:45 min/mile . Not fast but pleased because its the first time for a few years I've run under 9 min/mile because it felt comfortable rather because I was trying to - nice to see a little progression..

Anyone doing the Bk Half tomorrow...I'm looking to make it a nice easy one, and enjoy the sunshine finishing on the boardwalk...

So I have an accessory navicular (extra ankle bone) which results in flat feet (think hobbit flat).
I've been running about 4 miles a day, but I need some pointers. My gait isn't natural at all. I don't run out of breath, I lift weights etc, I just can't seem to run very well since my feet are so damn flat.
Any pointers would be great. Thanks!
Also, I run in Newton Distance trainers.

Form drills are you're answer. I will track down a video for you tomorrow, but they will help you develop a more efficient gait, and only take a few minutes before runs. The help develop muscle memory of an efficient/economic stride.
6.5 for me today in Tiburon.

First real race I've ever done today, WHAT A FEELING! I've done distance before, but never in a race setting. Started way back in the 13th Corral-13,000 runners in front of me at the start(the girls whose bib I used wasn't very quick), but still finished in 1:39:10. VERY stoked, especially to hang out with my wife and kids at Brighton Beach afterwards.

Bay to Breakers 12k. Didn't run into Sam...

The Hayes Street Hill was hard, harder than I anticipated.

She was solo as far as I could tell, and happier than that picture suggests. On her back, she had a sign indicating she's getting married this coming Saturday.

The women in lingerie stripped down over the course of about five minutes, and topped it all off by dousing each other in glitter. The guys in the picture with them were part of a group of French.

Bay to breakers 12 k - sugarbutch - I was wearing only bright orange shorts, so not a standout at all. What a trip though! I had an awesome run - ran 43:22, including a 630 mile up the hayes street hill (jesus!) so most of my other miles were 5:40s which was my goal. 80th overall, 56th among non-elites. I ran the course the opposite way after I finished and really enjoyed the show. Its something I would definitely recommend to anyone - even non runners.
16 for the day.
Got to stay at 4 seasons . . . . which was nice and convenient.
