well, i'll follow that: i did 3 and change this afternoon. all flat asphalt.
I really need to check out the New England area at some point.
Got in 4.5 miles on the trails last night and am buying some trail shoes tonight. The uppers are trashed on my current shoes and the wife said, "buy new shoes please." Also got peer pressured into a 6 mile race on Sunday. Free event entry from a previous volunteer effort so I guess I am racing 6 on Sunday. Seems pretty flat from some MapMyRun maps of the course.
10.5 miles today. Guy I was running with was gassed by the end. I also ended up with some Inov-8 Terraclaw 250s which were great on the run today. Was scared with Inov-8 and their CrossFit focus but these did the job. I also looked at some Montrail shoes and I think another but they felt very narrow and that any running would be uncomfortable after a point.
The 6 mile trail race today was brutal. I finished in ~50 minutes which is what I was aiming for as the heat was unreal. Winner finished in 36 minutes. Worst part was about 5 miles in on a wide right turn, there was a big snake, probably 3' long that I and another guy missed. There were some spectators close so we yelled snake but only right before a woman behind us screamed for her life. I found out a nice guy moved the snake for the rest of the racers.
Also cut the lawn this weekend so in terms of activity, I am worn out.
