On a really good day I can do 8 in just under 1 hour 10 min, but I'm also one of the slower posters here.

My best is something just over an hour. For normal runs, more like 1:08-1:10.

That's really impressive.  It's taking me about an hour and a half

When I was training and really pushing it my 8.6 mile loop took me about 1:04 on a fast day.  Flat land I could easily see it being an hour or less.

True, it's all relative... My training runs range from a 7:55 pace for the faster sections to 11:00+ for hillier miles.

To put it into perspective, I've been running off and on since I was 8 years old. If I'd stuck to it for that long, I'd either be really fast or really injured. ;)

That's really impressive. Hopefully I can push those boundaries!

2.9 miles on the treadmill.  I started to study for the CPA exam and watched videos on my phone of the lectures.  I can somehow retain things more while exercising as my go to used to we watching the History Channel with subtitles while on the treadmill in grad school.

I got in 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. I wanted to run outside but the forecast was for temps of about -5º with a windchill of about -18º so I planned for the gym. It ended up being much warmer than that if positive 6º can be considered "much warmer") but my bag was already packed when I got up this morning and I was looking forward to sitting in the steam room at the end of my workout so the treadmill run out today.

Regarding 8 miles - This time of year in Metro Detroit and being bundled up for the snow and cold, I'd be lucky to finish 8 miles in an 1:20:00. When the roads are clear and I am not wearing 800 layers of clothing, I can get it done in about 60 minutes, especially if I am running with a group and have motivation to keep up that pace.

I think my hillier/trail miles will need to start being in the 11min range if not slower for my body not to get injured.  I have the heart and aerobic capacity, it is just my poor knee.  It gets a 10day break here in a few days.

Hit one of the local trails today for a little 5 mile loop. Nice change of pace from my usually flat weekday runs.

Finished off with some 75 meter hill repeats and now my legs are jello.

7.3 miles around and on a track with 9x400m of speed work. My fastest lap was 83 seconds. Good times!

5 miles this morning. Time was slower but the humidity is rising because we had some rain.

Did 5.7 miles early this morning in slight sleet / frozen ground. The temperature in Finland alternates above and below the freezing point almost daily which makes the surface rather slippery.
Gotta post more often! smile.gif

5.3 miles today. At 4º, it was a second consecutive morning with temps much higher than they were forecast. Tomorrow it's expected to be in the 20s so I should either be ready for the 50s or negative 20s.
