Hello!

Is this sportcoat considered to be sized small for being 50? http://www.shopthefinest.com/p-19233-borrelli-green-sportcoat-size-40-us-50-eu-sale-.aspx

I am sometimes 48, sometimes 50, with a slim athletic build so I usually prefer drop 8, would drop 7 be enough?

I could measure my size 50 drop 8 caruso which fits me good, but I am not sure how to measure waist and chest... And I am a little worried about the shoulders too.

Thanks!

Ossian

Ossian,

No, I would not consider this sportcoat to be a slim fit for size 40 US. I think it is rather "normal" if you will.

How To Measure:

SPORTCOATS
Chest: Armpit to Armpit x 2
Waist: Middle of the body x 2
Across the Back: Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam
Sleeve: Edge of the shoulder to the end of cuff (curved)
Length: From the top of the coat, under collar to bottom

Best regards,

Ian

Hey Ian, do you have any staple dress shirts in a 17 or 17.5 with 34 arms?

Thank you for your e-mail and interest.

We find with all the very high end brands the sleeve length is longer than average. I believe this is done for 2 reasons:

1. You can never make a sleeve longer, only shorter.

2. It is my opinion Italians expect everyone to go their tailor for the perfect fitting/adjustment of the sleeve. It is sort of like having pants hemmed. You need to get them adjusted because they cannot account for each person's proportions.

I hope this helps. Please contact us directly at, info@shopthefinest.com to discuss brands, fits, colors, etc, etc, etc.

Best regards,

Ian

Ian,

Are all the Paolo Scafora shoes on your website your entire stock or do you have more that haven't been put on the web store? Thanks.

Has anybody handled Finamore's sports coats before? They look pretty decent online ala LBM, Boglioli.

Recently picked up a Borrelli jacket from Shop The Finest -- really impressed with the quality of the product and, as always, with the service (and fast shipping).

More pics and a review here.
