I've been wanting something like this for about 2 years, something that could be dressed up, or dressed down for summer. I always envisioned them like this. After seeing some done by Bally, and some done by Ferragamo I knew what I designed in my head was right. I think Bally did something with it in a Limited Edition shoe, and Ferragamo had done something without it in their main line in so far as the medallion. Also come to think of it, last summer Prada did some interesting shoes, I was not into the very high sole look, but they did some great "pop of color" shoes, that are a sort of hybrid between a sport shoe and a dress shoe.

To me this shoe walks a fine balance of being a shoe that is dress, sportive, casual, and fun all together.

I went back for 3 more Borrelli's late last night, damn that wine! Hat tip to Ian at STF for doing a little inventory double-checking for me before I pulled the trigger.

Note to self: try for a first "folded shirt" group shot when they land.

Reply from self: if only I can keep them in the wrappers long enough.

that is gonna be tough. i have to try not to rip the shirts, i open them up in such a craze.

tbh, there really is nothing specific about "shabbos shoes." certainly they should be nice, and appropriate for wear to shul. but as to style, there is no set parameters.
personally, i wear some serious j00 garb on shabbos and i need my shoes to be black. also, i have had many bit loafers in the past, but i feel i wanted something more understated at this juncture.
lastly, between walking back and forth from shul to home like 4 times, eating meals and taking naps, i take my shoes on and off very often over shabbos, so i wear loafers simply for the convenience it affords me.
