Just had a really great experience with ehaberdasher. Excellent customer service following a slight stock issue, and really prompt international shipping. Thanks!

Hi,

I'm looking to get some 36S Benjamin suits...preferably in Navy and Grey. I was wondering how slim the suits are? I noticed there are a few lines, such as Lucente and Granoro, and maybe some others I don't know about. Which line is the slimmest? Are there more 36S suits coming in? Also, I noticed that there has been an issue with the collars of the suits. Has this been rectified? My apologies if my questions have been answered previously. I searched but could not find the answers.

Lastly, for those who have bought the A. Testoni shoes from the site, how is the quality? I can probably find Ferragamo Originale for that price point).

Thanks!

Thanks for the message/inquiry!

The suits are a trim European fit - I wouldn't call them slim fit - they're relatively classic in style. The Lucente and Granoro are essentially the same fit, but the Lucente has a slightly longer skirt and has a higher button stance, whereas the Granoro model has a traditional lower button stance. They are otherwise the same and are slimmer than the Maestro model which has been discontinued.

The collar issue is rectified for the next shipment coming in which, sadly, is yet delayed again and won't be here until beginning of July at the earliest.

Testoni's are great - they're made in Italy and when taken care of will last you a very long time.

Sorry to hear this. I'm really hoping to purchase a mid-grey 38S after trying a 38S in charcoal. I took a few fit pics, tried a few other brands, and there's no doubt the Benjamin suit fits me the best so far, but I don't know if I can wait till July.

Dare I ask the status on the sport coats? I'm hoping to pick up a staple blue or navy blazer, in cashmere or a nice hopsack.

Trust me - we're a lot more frustrated and disappointed than you are... it is very frustrating dealing with manufacturers.

Regarding jackets, the samples still aren't quite right do not sure when those will actually go into production... it will be a glorious day when we finally have them on the site though!

For Ben or others familiar with the Benjamin suits:  is there another name brand that you would compare the Benjamin suits with quality or fit wise?

For instance, how does the quality compare with a Brooks Brothers 1818 or Golden Fleece?  Polo Ralph Lauren by Corneliani?

Is the fit similar to any brands that most posters are familiar with?  I saw one reference to Canali fitwise, but that was a few years ago.

Hey Ben,

I want to pull the trigger on one of your big ticket items; do you have any discount codes coming up by any chance? eg, Fathers Day?

Thanks!

PS - The Testoni's I ordered are awesome!
