Thank you for your message and interest in the Benjamin Sartorial suits. All the suits feature higher armholes and a slimmer Italian fit. They are all fully canvassed and are fairly classic. The Granoro, Classico, and Classico II are all basically the same block difference. It started with the Granoro and then we made some extremely slight adjustments which most people wouldn't even notice (adjusted the collar positioning slightly) for the Classico and Classico II. These are all discontinued (no longer produced).

The Nobile is a new model, again with high armohles and fully canvassed, but the shoulders are slightly softer than the Granoro/Classico and the fit is just a little bit more form fitting than the Granoro/Classico - particularly in the shoulders. Also the lapels are just slightly larger (9 cm vs. 8.5 cm of the Classico).

Please note that while still classic and conservative in style, the Benjamin line is cut a little bit slimmer than most American commercial/mainstream brands.

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Ben

I'll consider it. Thanks for your feedback.

Out of curiosity, how does the short-lived Napoli fit compare to these? My go-to navy suit is a Benjamin Napoli, and I love the fit and silhouette, especially the shoulders.

@eHaberdasher any chance of less slim suit pant options next spring, or maybe Bella Spalla pants cut with the same fabric as the Benjamin suits? I would love my next suit to be a Benjamin but the pants just aren't roomy enough in the thighs for me.

The short-lived Napoli suit had soft , slightly broader shoulders, and the waist was a bit more nipped. The Napoli sport jackets (still a few left) have almost natural shoulders and not as nipped in the waist as the suit jacket version.

We are very well stocked with Benjamin trousers for the time being, so it is unlikely we'll be making any new production within the next 6 months, but we will definitely explore a slightly wider/fuller pant as you're not the only one who needs a little more room in the seat/thigh. Did you consider going up a size in the Benjamin trousers?

Hi Ben,

Do you think you will have restocks of this Bella Spalla sport coat anytime soon?

As I really have an affinity for the color in summer materials.

Don't want to speak for him, but I believe it was an end bolt and the fabric is no longer available. I think most of the Bella Spallas stuff is like this.

@eHaberdasher My waist is 31.5" at my biggest and my thighs are approaching 26". I might be able to make the size 34 work in a pinch but I don't like to take the waist in that drastically.

Have you considered suspenders?   It could keep you from taking in the waist as much.

I'm surprised you find that much of a difference between the Benjamin trousers and the Bella Spalla trousers.

@eHaberdasher My email correspondence indicated that there's a 1.5" difference in the thighs at the size I would have to go with. Is this not the case?

@eHaberdasher did the sample ever arrive?  Is the F/W pre order still on the radar?

@eHaberdasher fyi: I noticed the "This Just In - Check Out Our New Arrivals" link on the site's front page isn't working. That's really helpful for me since I check in periodically just to see what's new.

Sorry I have been incognito as I've been extremely busy with some new developments. First, to answer your question yes we are doing a new MTO shortly - just confirming the fabrics. We are going with a new factory in Napoli.

We do have some exciting news as well...
