Ahh gents that's too bad on some of the jackets.   But a most excellent response from @eHaberdasher and great solution to things out of his control. A+

Perhaps can we go with a 3 roll 2 for the next Pre-order?  May avoid the production issue and get everyone is desired look.  I would also be willing to wait the extra 4-6 weeks for the more open quarter sample.

I finally got my fw benjamin preorder back from the tailor and man, the fit is great. I'd be up for those changes and delay, if Ben can stomach it, just because it would make these jackets 100% perfect for me.

Any chance for a fit pic?

For what it's worth, I received two MTO jackets in midnight hopsack from the most recent batch--I couldn't decide on a size, and Ben and Colleen graciously sent both a 36S and a 38S. Both jackets roll correctly to the middle button.

36S

38S

Same for me.  My Navy hopsack rolls to the middle button.

And the 36S seems to fit better but, @thisfits I'd like to see a pic from the back to see the shoulders better.

My indigo jacket basically rolls exactly like the pic online I posted above, which is similar to Ben's pic saying how it should look.

I also recieved the Bella Spalla trousers. Slimmer than I'm used to, but the fabric is awesome! Will need to let out the waist around 1" from vacation food/drinks...

Which pants did you get?   I'm still waiting for my indigo jacket and I picked up the light taupe and medium gray.  I hope they go well with the indigo, well that and everything fits.

I'll see mine next Wednesday. If it's a hard 3 I'd be more than annoyed. More reason not to change production from classic 2 button in such short notice.

I got the medium gray. I think they work well together. Similar shade and similar texture. So an understated combination. I think the light taupe would also be very good, but I got the gray because I see it as more conservative. Indigo fabric is GREAT. Very light. Feels nice in the hand.

The above pic shows how my jacket rolls to 2.5. I've asked the tailor (Magic Tailor) to try to press it so it rolls closer to 2. Wondering now if that was a mistake... But will find out on Thursday when I pick it up.

I've actually decided that I'm going to return the pants because I need more room in the thigh and calf. Maybe I'll order the 37/38, and have some taken in, instead of the 36.

If anyone in Toronto (with normal sized legs) wants some badass grey fresco trousers in size 36 at cost without shipping (170CDN) send me a PM soon. I'll probably mail them back to Ben on Wednesday morning.

Thanks for the pic, it looks great.  It's the first time I'm able to see on my monitor the pattern on the fabric, a bit of a surprise for me but looks great, with the pants too.   Is it a check pattern?

@mdancel , it seems to photograph as a very subtle check. But it's so subtle I've never even noticed it in person.

I'm waiting a 3 roll 2.5 from a new factory that I'm inclined to go with - same factory as I had posted several weeks ago but a 3 roll 2.5. I hope to receive the jacket here within the next 2 weeks once Italy opens up for business again in September.

Thanks for confirming this, guys. It seems most of the jackets did turn out correctly, but the brown hopsack seemed to have more of an issue than the others. A few of you guys have emailed me directly and I've suggest to have your tailor/cleaner give steaming and reshaping the lapels a try. At least one customer is returning his, so once we receive that we can have our tailor Pasquale have a look at that one and give his opinion (and see if he can make it 3 roll 2.5). There is actually a certain stitch - I don't recall what it's called at the moment, but it basically "sets" where and how the lapel rolls to, and if my hopes are a reality the pressing was simply wrong but the break stitch is still correct and therefore the lapels can actually be reshaped/steamed to where they were meant to roll. The steaming can even be attempted by you if you have an iron that can also emit steam - just be sure to use an ironing cloth or towel between the iron and the garment - iron the lapel flat along with the rest of the front of the jacket (with the lapel unfolded, of course). Perhaps I can try to do a video showing how it is done in the next week or so if that would be helpful.

@Riva I completely understand. Please message/email me if you have any issues and we will make it right.
