Also interested in the Zegna gun check

It looks like 2-3 of the Navys are more a 3-season weight.  Am I reading that right?  If so, I could be in for one of them.  Like the poster above, I could also use to update my navy blazer.  I have a-size-to-big Hickey Freeman that doesn't see any wear.

Any thoughts on doing MTO pants in Fresco or Hopsack?

The brown, the gun check, and the linen-wool navy are my top 3 (not necessarily in that order).

Looks like the gun check is the winner. I might be in too if I can get my sizing right. Measurements appear to be a challenge for tall people who want their bottoms covered.

Curious to know which you'd be interested in (feel free to pm if you prefer)

To clarify, unstructured means no canvassing and no fusing? I see that the current Bella Spalla models are half-canvassed. (To clarify, I'd be interested in an unstructured, no canvas / no fusing model.)

I'd throw my two cents: for true summer jacket unstructured is fine but I'd prefer half canvas and quarter lined just like the last MTO. To me this strikes a great balance.

I am a few days (hopefully) from receiving my two jackets from the winter MTO. These will be my first Bella Spallas but if they work, ie. fit well, I'd be in for some more.

Dammit. I just bought a summer jacket because I didn't think summer fabrics were coming this year. Here would be my preferred choices:

Tallia Delfino 100 wool 260 gr

Marlane 100 wool 380 gr

Marlane 70 wool 30 linen 280 gr

Would consider actually ponying up for the navy zegna linen or the brown Marlane, except that I've been buying too much recently and need to take a break for a few months.

I received my Bella Spalla pre-order yesterday. It needs some tailoring so I'll refrain from posting pics for now but I'm thrilled with the quality.

All those are really nice choices. And if it helps, just a reminder that the Candian dollar has gotten a bit stronger recently... happy.gif

The gun check would also be my first choice, but the pure linen would be excellent as well. I would also prefer at least a half-canvas on the jacket and partial lining.

That Zegna guncheck is beautiful

Please do post pics, if you feel like it.

I'm curious to see how the tweaks to the cut worked out. I believe (if I recall correctly) that a) lapels were increased to 9cm, b) waist measurement was let out 1cm, and c) buttoning point was lowered 1cm? If you have the first Bella Spella, please let us know what you think of the tweaks.

Shush, you!

Bought summer sport coat three weeks ago, picked up 3-piece suit from local tailor today, Conrad Wu tie arrived mid-week, and 4 MTM shirts arrived friday.

Road. To. Ruin.

But Ben, if you offer some things like these next year (or just buy the fabric now and hold them till next year), I would likely be in for 1 or 2.

Any of three below would be an easy call for me.

Thanks.

Here are some I'm considering. All are spring/summer except the dark navy Marlane

Tallia Delfino 100 wool 260 gr

Marlane 70 wool 30 linen 280 gr

Sounds like the Zegna check is a clear winner for sure. I do like the brown Marlane and will most definitely offer the Tallia midnight hopsack as well. I do like the Zegna linen/wool/silk as well, and the Marlane navy may be good for a later cutting for the fall.

I'll look into doing a completely unstructured jacket with no canvassing whatsoever - not sure if the factory does that (or does it well). Any other input or thoughts? And for those who have received your the most recent MTO please do post or PM me with your thoughts/feedback.
