This sounds more serious than you thought it would given we're in the same city... boxing[1].gif

Anyway, it'll be a good few months before I get my hands o it....

I decided to go with the dark blue & navy check windowpane. My heart wanted the blue melange with crimson & white windowpane but the former is pretty damn close to the jacket I've been picturing in my head for a while now, and will be easier to wear to work.

I assume we will be contacted about providing our size?

I would also second the suggestion that these be quarter-lined.

I'm debating between the "Dark blue & navy check with brown windowpane" and "Blue melange with crimson & white windowpane." What's the texture like on these? Are they too wool-y to wear in the spring/summer?

I'd say you can get away with most of them for early spring, but otherwise once June hits you may need to switch to something lighter.

The blue windowpane is pretty sweet. It's the blue brother of the brick one we currently have online already:

Very soft - which you'd already know if you're familiar with Piacenza fabrics.

The Taupe with Brown is awesome though - Zegna made this fabric for Cucinelli - we got our hands on 30 metres of it only.

Sorry that was a typo - it is indeed wool/cotton/cash.

Yes - I have confirmed with the factory that we will make them 1/4 lined. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Also yes you should receive a follow-up email requesting what size you would like.

Hey Ben,

Is there a deadline for pre-order? Trying to spread out purchases.

And can I make a suggestion?

Mentioning the provenance of the favric (e.g. Zegna for Cucinelli) is a great selling point. Would like to hear similar 'origin stories' for the other fabrics.

Good question regarding the deadline. We will be sending out an email some time mid to end of next week formally announcing the Bella Spalla pre-orders, and also hope to have the new Sutor Mantellasi shoes on the site as well by then and will announce those. Deadline will probably be around the 15th of December.

Regarding the provenance of the fabrics, they're all already on there on the Fabric description line in parentheses. nod[1].gif If you're referring to further details - I can't remember which but some were for Canali and others were for Pal Zileri if that's helpful at all. Anyway it's all great stuff!

Nice - several people have chosen this one... only a few left available. We will probably send out an email tomorrow to bring attention to this special made-to-order offer and that it will close probably next Tuesday the 15th.

I go in on the navy/blue check. Ben, if I didn't receive a sizing follow up email, should I worry yet (ordered Sunday)?

Any thoughts on whether you'll be doing a second batch of made-to-order soon hereafter, and might there be any frescos on the horizon? Trying to plan some spring purchases given production times and my general lack of summer attire.

Nice - I like that one quite a bit - perhaps my favourite one.

You should have hopefully received an follow up email requesting your size - if you have not please let me know.

Yes, I plan to do a batch for spring and hope to go back to Italy in February/March as I'll be stuck in London while they're reviewing my visa renewal application until then. Assuming we get approved I'll fly out to Italy and hopefully get a nice selection for spring/summer!
