Ok I just got in this Riviera plaid sportcoat in a 41R that I bought from you guys at eHaberdasher.  I need everyone's opinion on the fitting.  I'm worried that it might be too short in the sleeves and in the skirt.  It fits great in the shoulders and underarm, however I might have to take it in a little at the waist but thats not a big deal.  Love the material and the look of the fabric though.

Yah,  definitely too short. One can say it(barely) covers your rear, I guess, but does not look right in front.

And I go for shorter jackets.

Sleeves, maybe there is a bit to let out. If that shirt is the right length, I think many/most on SF would say they are barely too short.

They like a lot of cuff. The right side looks short, the left looks almost alright.

Speaking of sport coats, any updates on the Benjamin sport coats? I've been looking for a F/W odd jacket for a few months, and have just been striking outs. Seeing any swatches would be especially nice.

I seem to remember seeing on here a while back that you were planning on introducing some Benjamin suits with Zegna fabrics or some other higher-end fabrics. Do I have that right? If so, any update on when they might be available?

That sport coat looks excellent on you!

+1 (if it is not too tight in the back)

P.S. Shoes need to be upgraded, shoes must be always the best item in the wardrobe.

P.P.S. I don't find any model would fit me. I need 39/40 chest and at least 17.5 shoulders. If anyone knows of a model that would fit the description I'd appreciate it.

+1. If it is too short, it's not by much such that I wouldn't worry about it, IMO

It's short, but that's the style of the jacket. I could have told you that before you ordered it if you look at the measurements. Most of them are short, but look at the sleeve length with functioning buttons. It's meant to be that short, and whether you like it or not, is up to you. The jacket was designed by the maker to be short though.

The factory is having problems locating all the swatches, and I'm not sure which ones they have and which ones they don't have now! Also one of my fabric sources in Italy never shipped, so those are still in transit. Once I get everything organized I will try to post swatches. Maybe I'll just post a bunch of them anyway, and hopefully all will be found soon...

Yes, that is correct, but I'm still waiting for samples to see how the new/modified model is before producing, and also there's a bit of a fabric fiasco (see previous post)!

In my opinion it is probably passable, but just a hair short for my personal tastes... how tall are you dls?

How is the fit of the Caruso suits? As a baseline, I wear a 46R in Canali and Corneliani, but a 46R Zegna Trofeo is too tight in the arms and chest (I have a strong build).

Would I probably be ok with one of the 46R 7 drops among the Caruso suits? Thanks.

^^ Can anyone speak to the fit of Caruso suits compared to Canali and Corneliani? I have 17" arms and a large chest and am concerned that a 46R in those labels might not fit me here. Thanks.

It's difficult to say for sure, as every brand has different models. In addition, Trofeo is actually a Zegna fabric - so not sure if you're referring to Zegna Black Label made with Trofeo fabric, or perhaps just a Zegna fabric suit made by another brand? Zegna Black Label in general, from our experience, is quite generous in their fits. That being said, if you normally wear a 46R (assuming you are referring to a euro 56R size) in Canali or Corneliani, you probably want to consider the euro 58R in Caruso, which in actuality translates more closely to a US 46R or 46R/47R anyway. So in other words, on the site you probably want to avoid the 45R/46R in Caruso.
