What Words Do You HATE? - Page 4

I can't STAND it when mainstream papers refer to the fed funds rate as "key rate." Everytime something happens you'll see a headline of "Fed cuts key rate." In an ideal world, Americans would know what the fed funds rate is...but I bet at least half of the country has no clue.

"orientated" - no such word
"Nucular" - no such word
"basically" - as a preface to each spoken thought or sentence passage. Overused and passe since the 70's.
"Window treatment" - why in hell is this speak so ubiquitous? Most annoying.
Forgot to add: "Technology" No such thing really if everything these days is virtual.

Being at business school, all the crap words related to thinking in a strategic manner and misused and abused these words and this concept is.
