LOL holdfast, i was telling denise (the manager) about this site. She was wondering how all of a sudden their store started buzzing with out of state customers.

call back and ask for denise, she's a nice person, the patience of a monument to put up with all of these phone calls.

whatever her salary is, they should double it during periods like this.

What is the fit of the RLPL and RLBLs? Slimmer? E.g. I wear a 44R or 45R in BB Golden Fleece. and a 46R in Hickey Freeman Madison models. Thanks!

BL is definitely slimmer than PL. You might need a 46R in BL.

Ralph's sizing is all over the place. RLPL doesn't fit me well at all, tending to be much more generously cut through the shoulders than Black Label. In Black Label, I usually have to size up to a 40R. I'm a 38 in some of the Polo Blue Label models, a 40 in others. And to make it all the more confusing, Ralph's most recent stuff tends to be cut on the short side.

For comparison purposes, I'm generally a 38, though I take a 39 in Golden Fleece.

I'm kinda surprised so many folks are taking a gamble sight unseen, and with no measurements.

I think eBay is going to have a glut of PL & BL merchandise soon - you know there are fair few lurkers here too!

I'm just glad I've sold all my own recent stock already! I don't think I'll ever be able to sell any PL/BL again, given this outlet's opening!

Black Label is okay for me, though the waist on the jackets is very tight. I probably would have needed that let out. And if not possible, ebay.

Not sure about RLPL for me, but I was willing to take a chance on something like that cashmere 3 piece. If it didn't fit, there's a pretty reasonable expectation of recouping cost on ebay, or even a good profit. 'Twas not to be.

Even when I size up to 40 in Black Label, sometimes the waist is still tight on me. It's definitely a slim fit. I'm wary of buying more of Ralph's stuff for resale right now. The eBay market seems to have tanked. I have a gorgeous peaked lapel charcoal Black Label suit that I've sent through two or three times at $400 or so, but no takers. I need to retake the pics, but still, it shouldn't be this much work. The market has definitely declined from a year ago. EDIT: Forgot to mention, my last two PL items -- a three-piece suit and a sportcoat -- didn't move at all and had to be returned. Shame about the sportcoat, as it was incredible. Wish it had been my size.

I agree completely Doc, I am perfect 40 in most brands, but need about a 41 or 41.5 in Black Label. (Thanks EL72 !)

According to Karen at Paul Stuart, Chicago, we blew more business through their shoe department in 3 days than they had seen in the last 3 months.
