I ordered a Yukon Weekender jacket from them today after some very positive communication from David and an excellent price. I'm hoping for cold weather in August, although I'm in the UK so continuous rain is more likely!

Almost unbelievably my coat arrived this morning. From Crane's to my door (in the rural UK) in less than three days - fantastic coat and really fast service. I'd thoroughly recommend Crane's to anyone (no, I'm not affiliated with them).

Free shipping is a bitch to do on a category, it's one of those global things and I can't limit it to domestic only. At least for now. I'm having the developers re write a bunch of the code to our specs but that won't be done for several months. I'll probably come up with new codes, I'll be discussing this with Dave in the morning.

I guess Filson just can't be happy with a 400 percent increase in our ordering for a year. Never did understand morons who bitch about making more money.

So we can just call, say we are from SF and get the same pricing?

I think I am going to get me a Filson laptop bag.

On Crane's shipping, it's so reasonable now I'd much rather keep the discount. I hope y'all get things worked out. I'm tempted by other Filson stuff on the site.

Robin, the guys who wrote it are going to do the custom coding. Hell I don't know anyone who would want to tackle it self included. LOL.

Alan, it's all due to the Supreme Court of Royal Jesters and their infinite wisdom or lack there of in this case.

The Filson problem is tough. Basically, our store price is 25% off at all times. Call us and you don't even have to mention styleforum, but it is nice for tracking purposes. (The more sales we get from styleforum, the better the chance we keep paying for advertising here.) Most of the companies we deal with feel that they have made their money and if we want to give the stuff away, that is our problem. I talked with the execs @ Filson in February and they told me they were trying to get rid of the "garage" accounts and anybody that doesn't have a store front and floor space for their product. Figured if we didn't put the price on the site and make people jump through hoops their wouldn't be an issue. We'll figure something out. Thanks for the support and keep shopping. Got in some shirts from Filson this week and our wool vests. Loaded up on the socks and chaps as well.

Filson is trying to protect its brand cachet. 'High price = exclusive = desirable' with that way of thinking.

I appreciate Crane's dedication to provide quality at an attractive price.

I'm going to re write discount codes and post them in all 3 of our threads. You'll end up with the same discount level just in a different way. BTW once they are up feel free to post them anywhere you like or email them around.
