What about creating a different discount code for the overstock items, and then listing on here what the overstock items are. Or would that get too complicated?

Too complicated. I would have to inventory everything and then set it all up on the site. I have 3 affiliate threads so I'll probably list everything in them with the sale price. Some of the Filson stuff are prototypes and were never released for sale. Kinda cool.

I'll setup the discount code tomorrow for the Webmaster is Insane Sale which will run til September 1. When it's over you'll all have to wait til Christmas for the next sale so don't wait til hell freezes over!

Are there any sizing recommendations on the Filson Uplander Wellington boots? I'm usually an 11.5 or 12 in most shoes/boots. I'll probably be ordering a pair from you guys soon I think.

And are most Filson items always kept in stock? I need a variety of things.

What sort of prototype/overstock stuff do you have? Sounds promising.

Order your normal size boot unless you're going to wear very heavy socks then half size up. We keep about everything in stock except the boots and shoes. Filson has an excellent turnaround time to us, usually 2 days so the delay is minimal if we are out of stock.


Shirts, sweaters, some waxed coats, all of the remaining wetlands camo in stock, same with the advantage timber wool coats and accessories, wool underwear. There's probably more. The prototype stuff is mainly vests and i think a coat that are the fore runners of the adventure vest and bush jacket.

Alright guys,I have recently comoe across Filson bags,and now I want one.haha.I will mostly be using it for school.Im trying to decide between the small carry on and the laptop bag. Thing is,I don't usually carry a laptop.I just like all of the pockets on the bag.Is the padding removable?Need some opinions.Also I think those of you who already have filsons should post some pictures!

I took a while to decide between the Filson 257 (medium laptop bag/briefcase) and the small carry-on. I got the 257 and like it quite alot. I would not recommend going up to the larger size "padded laptop bag/briefcase" as it would be quite large, and too big for every day school use. Even the 257 is pretty big. If you're not going to be carrying a laptop often, but still want pockets and organization you might want to consider the "original" (smallest size) briefcase. If you have a SMALL laptop you could probably fit it in there too, though it would be a bit tight. Also, I'll warn you that if your laptop is bigger than a 15" macbook pro you probably won't be able to fit it in either the 257 or the small carry on. I don't know if a 15" macbook pro could fit in the original briefcase or not.

Got my small carry on this week,and it is awesome.Crane's is awesome! They have the best prices,great service and fast shipping.

Just ordered a Filson 257 briefcase from Crane's late last night (loved the 'INSANE' code!) and received an email that it shipped this morning. I really appreciate the reasonable shipping ($6.80). The only downside is that I had to pay state sales tax, but that's not their fault.

LOL! AC we have all kinds of weird webmaster sales during the year. It gives Dave a certain amount of plausible deniability when vendors start whining and crying. He just blames his crazy webmaster for getting creative about getting new customers. After all driving traffic to the site is my primary job duty and I am left to my own devices to make that happen. Heheheheheeeeee.

The Webmaster is correct, Filson has been whining a lot lately about our prices. I feel that if I risk my own money on purchasing large quantities of their product, promote, wear, and place prominately in my store their brand, I should be able to make whatever margin I need to live. Unfortunately the Supreme Court lately has not agreed with me. Hopefully this will be reversed and merchants and consumers will be back in control.
