would any tailor have them?

You can start by contacting the people you bought the jeans from and they should be able to supply you with a button. If you can talk to the actual company, maybe they can send you something

I suppose this could throw off your fades, but why wouldn't a standard button work?

the time and trouble your going to go to finding a replacement button could easily be spent on your girlfriend or something.

I say you grab a needle and thread and get to work.

^ dude.. let's say they are kicking mules... are you going to want to put a random button on there? Hell no.

i'm just looking for any button thats like the ones used in buttonfly jeans, it doesn't matter what brand

i don't think a regular button would work since it probably wouldn't even hold the jeans closed

You may want to try Denim Doctor at HTC (323) 964-0080 or Denim Revival (323) 852-0171. They may have generic replacement buttons. Hopefully the hole where the button originally was hasn't been enlarged to much; otherwise there may not be enough fabric for the 2 halfs of the button to grip onto.

Most online sources are manufacturers or distributors that have large order minimums but I found these:

I did a yahoo search for "replacement metal buttons for jeans". I found better results than Google in this instance.

You'll need a die-set and kick press to attach the new shank. Unless you live in close proximity to a service like Denim Doctors a regular button may be the only way to go.
