I have noticed this for awhile, and maybe it has been brought up by someone else, but there seems like there's a ton of law-related threads here on the general forum. Are lawyers really the only ones that care about style & fashion??

That's part of it ^^. We have a lot of banker types as well. Also, law is one of the few professions where -- at least if you're going to appear in court -- wearing a suit in tie is really still a professional requirement.

I've noticed that lawyers tend to be more adventurous with their style than other professionals.

Lawyers are more insecure than other professions and therefore need the validation of the interwebz .

They also have to fill time in the office so that its billable. Browsing SF seems to qualify.

I think that the bad economy makes people think about furthering their educations. As law school has gotten a bad rap recently in the news, deservedly so, prospective students are soliciting opinions rather than following the advice of career counselors or law school recruiters. As for style, being a lawyer is one professionthat still requires a suit + lawyers have little room for creativity in many aspects of their prof. lives so their wardrobe gives them a creative outlet.

They're everywhere just like rats; you kick a garbage can and a bunch of them scurry away to the safety of a dark corner.

I don't know how filthy Canada is, but we don't have rat infestations like that here like we do lawyers.
