you get whatever percentage you normally recieve, if they return it then they deduct that amount. That is my understanding at least.

But does the SA that sold the actual giftcard get any commission at the time?

I worked at Nordstrom a few times seasonally during vacations in college. they tend to hire for their half yearly and anniversary sale.

I worked mainly as a "runner" or a cashier in the women's departments (the Brass Plum, the lingerie dept and the soccer mom's section whatever it was called). I can honestly say it was probably the best job I've ever had due to the hotness of the customers and fellow coworkers. Everyone is so chill there and friendly too.
