Have seen the trailer and read some reviews and I'm looking forward to seeing it when it comes out in Oz later this week.

Looks like a damn good film.

I've heard nothing but good things about this film. Everyone is calling it EPIC.

It's ok. It fits the glossy epic biopic quite nicely but the rythm is not what you would expect if you're used to North American releases. Keep in mind that the movie focuses on his formative years not the great war of conquest he waged to unify the Mongols. What I liked about the movie was that they didn't lessen the otherness of Mongol culture by constantly giving you uneeded explanations.

Fuuma, I think there will be a sequel dealing with his later years

I'd like to see this. I wonder if he'll boil any of his foes in the movie.

Seeing it saturday. I gave up on finding an english subtitled version to download and forgot about it. I'd rather see it on the theatre anyway.

Quite good, nothing else to add other than what's been said already. A bit slow at parts, but all in all very good. Great scenery.

Saw it on friday and thought it was great. Apparently (according to IMDB.com) it was filmed on a $20MM budget.

thanks for the reviews, gentlemen..... I think I'm going to try and see it this week.

We got this off Netflix on Blue Ray. It's a good story, interesting to see the telling of a tale in non-Euro/N. American way. What drops your jaw, is if you have the home theatre to really show it off. My god. The cinematography is incredible, the landscape awe inspiring, and it just is epic to view. If you've got a big screen, 1080p, Blue ray, and a good video engine, it's incredible.
