PSA: Recent Paul Stuart and RLBL Price Drops - Page 3

I just spoke to Karen, who was helpfull. I bought a "Woodbridge" suede brogue in what sounds like a caramel suede. Not entirely sure what it will look like, or if it will fit, but the price was pretty great, so we'll see. Aportnoy, do you have this shoe?

I passed on four pairs in 9.5D in case anyone is interested. Sounded like a burgundy suede chukka for $300, a suede/pebble grain saddle shoe with crepe sole for $300, a brogue bal boot for $340, and a bicycle shoe for $200.

Any idea on the comparison of AE size 9.5C and PS 9.5D? Pretty similar?

Anyone care to comment what models are on sale? I am particularly interested in the Monkstrap and Hill I have a call into a sales rep....... but have very little patience

Has anyone completed a phone order for a suit/jacket?

I just called and spoke to an unenthusiastic sales person; most of the English shoes were pulled out and shipped to the NY store last month. They didn't have any "dress" shoes left in a 10.

FWIW; you can get the Timothy at Bennie's for $350 (and they offer black as well).

I talked to Steve just after they opened today and he told be about a pigskin pebble grain shoe with a double leather sole and a wingtip balmoral boot. I ended up calling back an hour later and, after some more questions, pulled the trigger on the boots. He said they are the Neiman. I couldn't find any mention of that boot on SF. Anyone familiar with it?

If this is the boot I think it is, then it is *gorgeous*. It's a laceup that goes up about halfway up the calf. The color is a mahagony brown, and the design and overall effect are really something. (I hope I'm talking about the same shoe!)

I also liked the pigskin shoe, though not as much, and I didn't realize it was pigskin at the time.

Just called and was told they were completely out of Stuart's Choice shoes in ALL sizes.

Scruff, no way, unles SF has many more lurkers than I'd imagined. Ask about Phineas, too... it's the the same shoe.

I just got Mr. Friendly Helper telling me "Yeah, see, we're running pretty low on them". He's going to check my size and give me a call back.

I'm not holding my breath.

I got a pretty nasty SA , didn't even get his name. Oh well, saved me some money.

You can ask to talk to Karen, who was helpful. The Neiman was the bal boot they had in 9.5, which I passed on. It was $678 - 50%.

Say Portnoy recommended her.

I didn't even ask about the Phineas, because I didn't know the fit/last shapes

Chorse, The SA told me it was the same last/fit, but I can't say for sure because I did not compare them side to side.
