$218 shipped, grenson's.

Think, those are the shoes I was looking for and wanted, but they were sold out. Any idea what they're called?

The shoes that are linked? Seriously? I'd assume they're called the "Modified Wing Tip".

Karen was calling them all sorts of names - definitely not modified wing tip. Perhaps Stevens? I have no clue at this point. It was madness over there. I dont really know what I am going to get until I get it, but these seem most likely. She told me it was a "modified cap toe" with punching on the cap, and then by the heel and around the laces that went to the back of the shoe and that they were brown. First she was telling me that they were the Hughes, but that can not be because at the end, she told me that they were Stuart's Choice, benchgrades - Made by Grenson by William Green. Here I was, I had the saleslady, Karen on the phone, I'm trying to google whatever the hell I can... not having any luck, we were measuring the shoe and comparing it to my current shoes and everything.

It was completely disorganized.

I'll let you know when I get it - we'll swap war photos.

I called up wanting the Andy's - then she was telling me that the hughes were a nice reddish "rosewood" color - then I wanted those. She also had some unlabelled shoes that would have been nice, but again, madness over there and she was losing her patience describing shoes on the phone to a guy in NY.

again, their website at PS sucks, and they dont call their shoes what they have them labelled as on their website.

what think said. I mentioned to them "modified wing tip" and they had no idea what I was talking about. Same goes for the "balmoral wing tip".

Nice people, but when I mentioned a website, they were shocked and had no knowledge of it.

Furthermore, I asked if they could take some cameraphone photos and send them over to me and they said they couldn't.

They were not calling it the modified wing tip. She called it a modified cap toe "Hughes" Stuart's Choice. It must have been a long day and a lot of SF'ers and Lurkers were calling Karen on the phone all day.

they do still have some size 11's around, but you have to get a sales person to really hunt them down for you over there.

I'll be surprised if that's the shoe, but I guess not too much. You'd think if the shoe on their website listed as the Modified Cap Toe was the one they were selling as the Stephen / Steven someone along the line would have mentioned that the cap was a winged cap rather than a straight cap. I got the fedex slip on the door today when I got home, so I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Listed on their site as modified wing tip. She called it a modified cap toe. We'll see. I think she had her terminology all twisted up. But that is the shoe she described, the naming is probably off.

But your steven/stephen is probably the one with the big cap with the broguing on the tip in the emblem pattern.

if anybody receives the "modified cap-toe/wingtip" in a 10D and does not want it, you know who to pm...

Has anyone checked out the NYC store to see if they have similar 70% off sale right now?
