Really? That's a fairly pronounced pattern and a lot of white in it.

About how heavy is the Solaro? Always love the look of that one but think I'd wind up having to invent occasions to wear it.

Smith's is 370 grams or 12/13 oz., I remember. I have a suit from the same cloth in the making.

That's correct, it ain't for the faint hearted. Especially if you live in a place like Atlanta...

Don't care for the Solaro, but a great call on the Fox!

Yes, great flannel. Solaro is tacky.

You have to admire the wearer when the cloth basically says there's always a strong sea breeze wherever I am in the summer.

The knitted ties on the e-shop website say that they are 5cm in width which seems pretty narrow. Has anyone ordered them and can comment on the width? It seems as though the one's that Mariano and Luca wear are thicker than that, most likely about 2.5 inches.

Empire Mirage, I have one Rubinacci zig-zag tie from Exquisite Trimmings. The width is indeed 5 cm and slim, but this isn't an issue if you wear it under a jacket or a sweater.

I think the dimensions listed on the site are identical, but I could swear that the regular knits are wider than the zig zag knits. Anyway 2.5" is not that skinny for a knit tie. Since they're cut square, a 2.5" knit tie is going to be about the same size at the knot, or perhaps even wider, than a 3.5" non-knit tie.
