I contacted them again about this and no reply! I finally contacted Lucca via his Facebook page and the reply was more or less "thanks for the headsup its an error on our website and we'll make the change" not the reply I was asking for!
I finally got a mail from Marcella Rubinacci offering a refund. I decided to keep the jacket just because it was so nice but was hopping for some kind of gesture like their book once I hinted about it :-) but did't get even an appology!
Anyway if you don't hear back from them send me a PM and I'll give you Marcella Rubinacci's mail.

Quick follow up.  Rubinacci eShop quickly responded to my e-mail query and shipped out the missing tie posthaste.  It is now in my possession.  Pretty good customer service.

Happy for you!

I recently looked at the new Naples location, a really nice shop. Unfortunately I did not have too much time to browse since I had to catch a train... Luca R himself was selling two pocket squares to me and Simon Crompton walked in too - I only realised a bit later that it was him smile.gif

Does anyone have any experience with Rubinacci RTW blazers and sportcoats? I've been toying with the idea of buying one of those 30% cashmere ones in the eShop. I'd be interested to year what people have to say on their fit, quality, and price at around €1500.

Damn, it's only in NY from the 16th to the 18th.  Right in the middle of the bloody week.  Ugh.

Glad it worked out rapidly

I have one in Viola (purpulish). It wears smaller than the label size but it tends to stretch. Really comfortable but I can't really see much handwork in it. Maybe I had higher expectations as I have only read positive comments on the bespoke

The wife and I spent a few days in Naples last week. Visited Rubinacci to pick fabrics for a couple of suits, did a forward fitting on one, and snapped some pictures of the new atelier. It is a really beautiful space, in an old palazzo. They had been opened in the new location for about a week when we arrived. It was great seeing Mariano, he is charming as ever, and always closing. I also had a chance to visit with Chiara in the London boutique, which is also undergoing some changes that will be celebrated with a reopening later this week.

The view from the front door.

The space has a different feel to it than the old location for sure. It's a bit grander, obviously newer, and doesn't have the nooks and crannies of the old space, which I kind of liked. But it is beautiful, and the sort of mini piazza out front is a nice touch.

I also picked up a few ties. Silk on the top, challis and cashmere on the bottom. Also took pics at Cappelli and Cilento and will post those in another thread.

Thank you, we did, though I have to say, I have been there three times and I don't see any reason to return.

My last girlfriend used to always talk about the "charm of Napoli." Something that isn't tangible; something you had to experience to understand. I would always reply, "You can swim in trash anywhere." Perhaps one of the reasons we are no more? biggrin.gif

I wish I could make it. I missed the Naples party by a week, and the London party by a week! The downstairs in London is going to be a nice little space, it's got a great "club" feel to it.
