F1 visits Montreal this weekend. Shockingly enough, Fox will be broadcasting this on Sunday. And its in HD to boot! I'm surprised they're taking some time off from hick racing.

Go BMW Sauber!

I was at the race last year. Definately one of the best atmospheres on the F1 calendar. I wonder who FOX has commentating for the broadcast, because Derek Daly was atrocious on CBS are year or two ago.

It was the Speed group (Machett/Hobbs/Varsha/Windsor), as Speed and Fox are both owned by the same firm I believe. And yes, Derek Daly was god awful two years ago on CBS.

Needless to say, Ferrari is still doing well.

Hamilton looks strong. Kimi has lost focus. Kubica is due. Massa...

Today should be a VERY interesting race. BMW is playing with the big boys, and then here's a quote from formula1.com:

"but with poor weather expected, the need for sections of the track to be resurfaced overnight, and the likelihood of safety car interventions, nobody is taking anything for granted. If anything, all of the teams are expecting a chaotic race!"

And F Hamilton for taking the pole from Kubica at the last second. I thought when he locked up on the last lap of Q3, Kubica was guaranteed P1.

That was a fantastic race.

Very interesting race indeed. Typically dramatic Canadian Grand Prix.

What a great race. It's funny, I've been to the last 2 races in Canada and Indy, flying out from the SF Bay Area. Now that I've relocated to the east coast, I decided not to go to this years Canadian GP. I guess I'll have to hit up a European one in the late summer. Anyway, I was at the hairpin snapping photos last year when Kubica had his moment. Glad to see him win it this year, especially since it looked like he would have won even without the Hamilton incident -- he was first and barely ahead of Kimi coming out of that pit stop before they halted for the red light.

I'd disagree about Kubica having the race even if Hamilton didn't make that idiotic mistake. Hamilton was several seconds in front of Kubica before the safety car came out. I thought Massa did a wonderful job of climbing up the positions toward the end of the race. That pass of two cars in the hairpin was amazing! If he had gotten all of his fuel at that one stop, and didn't need the immediate stop the next lap, he might have contended for a spot on the podium. All in all, its a great weekend to be a Bimmer owner and supporter

Hamilton is a dumbass. The race would have been perfect for me if Roberg didn't get caught up in the pitlane mess and scored some points.

Great race though.

He was several seconds ahead of Bob, but that lead was gone as they were all stuck behind the safety car due to Sutil's incident, which is why they all dove into the pits at the same time when the lane was opened. Hamilton's stop was 10 seconds while Kimi's and Kubica's were about 8 seconds, which is why those two cars were at the front of pit lane waiting for the red light. So, without the incident, Hamilton would have had to battle past Kimi and Kubica to regain the lead, which would have been possible on another pit stop, or not, leading to either a victory for Kubica or Kimi. It's great to see in a "Sophie's Choice" moment, Hamilton chose to hit Kimi instead of Kubica though.
