Very cool, it'd be awesome to be in D.C. for these.

P.S.--- I think a lot of guys care about more than just cooking "guy food." I mean you can't have wings and brats and pizza on a nightly basis. Just food () for thought.

Excellent! Kwil: I agree that guys like to cook more than guy food, but you have to start somewhere. Besides, this will be the most sophisticated guy food you've ever tried. If they go well, we'll expand the range of cuisines.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment without a grill, so I'm not sure how applicable the lessons will be.

I didn't mean it as a detriment in any way. In fact, I think it's a brilliant way to get guys who might not have any prior cooking experience the chance to learn a few things, and like you said, start somewhere. Not to mention the Grilling and Meat Rubs session sound sincredible.

There are two more classes, so don't give up hope!

I see it says you learn the basics of the kitchen, but how basic? I know some very basics, but don't want to be overwhelmed or fall behind in the class. The July 12 class is right down my alley.

Ambulance Chaser, I plan on sneaking a grill onto my balcony in a month or so. Maybe you should consider doing the same?

By the way is the course going to be hands on or simply demonstration?

The idea is to give the novice a level of comfort working in the kitchen and cooking to remove the fear factor. If you can light a stove and measure, you can do this class. Seriously. See how easy some of this is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZnBQuj1-AQ

OK, I'm sold. Just need to check with travel schedules, but there should be no issues.
