Had to netflix the dvd from this thread. Pretty good movie.
Right, but I mean, after the movie came out, he did it live on the anniversary. Almost certainly he planned this ahead of time, and unfortunately his own agenda (note that the filmmakers make a big deal about his "secrets" and his "behind-the-scene power plays") didn't coincide with that of the filmmakers. And it's almost certain that Billy Mitchell faced a similar amount of pressure, in the form of public outcry etc., to play live also. And he did. I'm not a member of the Billy Mitchell fan club (although I like him, in a weird way), but the filmmakers go out of their way to demonize him, and he's clearly not that.

The current record as it stands is a live one set by Billy Mitchell shortly after the film was completed--exactly twenty-five years to the day he set his original record. If that's not proof of his prowess, then I don't know what is. A lot of premeditation goes into such an event, and you get only one chance.

His video game prowess is beyond reproach. I'm speaking to his dong-like demeanor, in general.

I think a lot of his demeanor was heightened by the filmmaker. Unless you mean his arrogance, in which case, sure, he's super arrogant No arguments there!

Next week G4tv is going to run a special about Steve and Billy. It is behind the scenes of the film and what has happened since. I plan on watching it.

The Greg Bond interview in the DVD extras is funnier than anything in the movie, and may be the funniest four minutes ever commited to film.

Lol, I saw this documentary a while back and thought it was actually kinda boring. I say this, due to the fact that I work at a arcade/pinball "home-sales" place as a second job. I work with all the classic arcade games all day long, so I am kinda sick of seeing them. Here's the link to get an idea what I deal with everyday: http://www.tntamusement.com/

Why is Steve Sanders questioning Steve Wiebes ethics when years ago he lied to go to the video game tournament in Iowa? He claimed a score of over 3 million in DK. That is insane. It is funny how Billy looks at him when near the end Steve says he holds Wiebe in high regard. Billy says he is not familiar enough with the situation to judge. I love the extended interviews on the disc. Greg Bond is great. It could be some of the funniest stuff ever recorded as someone stated above.
