Can you see products here : http://www.hilditch.co.uk/

As they say on French telephones, veuillez patienter. They're obviously updating that page and it should be ready in a day or so. Ah, ernie, good to have you talking about clothes again. Question: are the UK prices for H&K better than those in euros at the rue Rivoli store? The ties on the whole are better quality than those on Jermyn street, but only insofar as all the ties in the Paris shop are handmade, while most in the Jermyn St shop are machine-made. Both are high quality.

In Paris price use to be as following : 1 or 2 shirts = 72 euros 3 to 5 shirts = 69 euros 6 shirts and more = 67 euros I guess it was 45/44/43 £ in London. So prices are very close is you take the exchange fees into account. Ties in Paris are not the same as in London for H&K. I do not know which are better. The biggest difference is for cashmer scraves but I do not know if they are the same. Shirts in Paris have problem of sizing so I prefer buy in London. Have you seen the new h&h site? Better than the old one but nothing exciting, better shop in shops.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I'd give them another few days. Are you on their mailing list? If so, you should be getting a nice catalog of their "Sale by Mail" shortly. It will have the same pictures as the website but of course they will be nicer and sharper.

All the orders I have placed with H&K in London (5 or 6 orders, can't recall) left me very satisfied with H&K. The products were as promised and the sizing / quality was consistent every time. Ernest, I know you have had problems with the Paris store, thus I would suggest that you purchase only from the London store and save your self the frustrating problems that have arisen with the Paris store (alas I repeat myself, I have mentioned this to Ernest in two different forums on several occasions over the past few months). Jon.

I am living in Paris that's the poroblem. In Paris I find much more shirts than on the website and at a best price and can also exchange them in case of problem. London sent me a free shirt which is VERY difficult to iron on collar because too much fabrics, so London can also make problems. I have my tactic now = I put back under plastic shirts with defects after 1 exchange (to avoid changing 5 times the same shirt and having a row with the saleskeeper who is a asshole) and exchange them 6 months later at next sales against a new model. In 01/04 I had 4/5 shirts with problems. I exchanged them all and one was still too short. In july I exchanged this too short and got a too short on only one sleeve. This winter I hope to have a correct one. Too short were 90% of time plain white or light blue. I am going to exchange it against a new fabrics. I have 3 free shirts from H&K : - 1 to compensate my plastik button and problems of exchanging (because of all problem of lenght) sent by London - 1 send by mistake by London (they sent 2 instead of 1) - 1 too short, I had to send them back but which they never asked me and which I kept. This too short is the one I exchange in July against an another too short.

Ernest, I'm across the pond, surely it easier for you to exchange shirts than it is for I, yet if I had a problem I would not complain with such bolster, ad nauseam (yes, and I know: don't call you Shirley). Jon.
