I agree with both Modsquad and Alexis. Â Personally, I think that it is rather futile to "rank" Borrelli, Kiton, Barbera, and Isaia. Â It is constructive to discuss the relative merits in a specific context (eg. amount of handiwork.) Â However, "Which is better" is nearly an ernest style question, imo, because there are differences in styles, pricepoint, etc... Â To take Alexis' car analogy, a comparison between two pinstriped suits is maybe more useful (a direct comparison between a Honda Civic and its direct competition) than a comparison between brands.
I agree with you completely. However, certain brands may appeal to you more than others. To stay within the cars example. Both BMW and Mercedes make comparable cars (3vs. C, 5vs. E, 7 vs. S, etc.) within the same price range. But, BMW has always appealed to the sporty driver whereas Mercedes usually is for the driver who appreciates comfort. Maybe it is useful to swing the discussion in this topic into that direction?
