Linty Sweater

Thread Starter
I have a sweater (acrylic fabric) that has a bunch of lint embedded in it from something in a recent wash load. I've tried lint brushes (make it worse) and those sticky roller things (worthless). Any ideas short of picking each bit out by hand?

Get a lint shaver. I have one by "Windmere" that works extremely well for this exact problem. I have seen some by Conair and Salton, and other low-priced home appliance brands. Mine was at a thrift store for $2, and I have seen them there consistently. I don't know where you would get a brand new one, though. Edit: now that I reread it, you have embedded lint, not self-lint "pills". The shaver doesn't work as well for that, as I recently found out after washing socks with brand new towels, but it does work.
