MGM is a pretty nice place. good restaurants, they have a nice pool.

Lots of good restaurants have bars to eat at....Mesa Grill, Bouchon...even the Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. Watch a concert. Watch a fight. Watch something....there is an unlimited amount of entertainment options in Vegas. If you want, go to the Callaway Golf Center to hit golf balls on the range. Shot guns at a gun store last time. Strip clubs if that's your ball of tea.

There are free little shows like the fountain at bellagio, the cesar's statue show, etc. Only good to see the first time..it is kind of lame/touristy.

If you like to party and are there on the weekend, go to Tao Beach during the day (Saturday) and REhab on Sundays (long lines though).

shop at the cesar's palace forum and fashion show mall.

thanks man.

SoCal, I wish my parents would party with me...

Tilt, they won't allow you to order drinks at dinner or something? Aren't you 21?

they wouldn't mind if i order drinks at dinner.

but going out at night is a different story.

Tabu Ultra Lounge at MGM is pretty nice. no huge wait to get in. depends if you're comfortable going out by yourself or not. or just walk the vegas strip...everything is open really late and people are just walking the strip. its a show in itself.

So you're 21 but your parents won't let you out on your own? Unless there is a mitigating factor, that is very odd, and not in a good way...

I think you're just going to have decide that this trip to Vegas is not about going out and partying at night, but rather spending time with family and seeing the sights.

Even without the clubs, Vegas is great for people-watching and just seeing the sights.

Just walking the strip is a great way to see the scenery - both buildings and people.

they let me go out, but not in an unfamiliar city. typical over-protective asian parents.

fortunately, i go to college 2.5 hours away from home.

Hmpf. The dichotomy is interesting! It must be an Asian sort of thing as that seems so strange to me. Thanks for explaining....

ah i got back yesterday.

it was a great time, even though I didnt even step into bars/clubs. i'll go all out next time i return to it.

spend the day with them

then at night go out on your own

problem solved

i love exploring the nightlife in cities i visit for the first time by myself, even when travelling with family. sometimes goin out by yourself is the best way to meet new people and have some interesting adventures.
