Single Men: Do You Carry a Beach Bag?

I went to the pool yesterday and carried with me the usual stuff: sunblock, book, towel, etc. But I found myself fumbling around with all these things something terrible. I used to just chuck all this stuff in an enormous beach bag my ex used to carry with her. But, alas! she has taken her bag and gone home.

So I ask: what can a single man like myself use to store and carry all his poolside accessories? What do you use?

When I go to the pool without my wife, I use a backpack.

I only carry with me a soccer ball, towel, and head phones.. none of which require me to carry a bag to the beach.

If I had more then that I'd just bring a backpack.

Wrap it up in a towel and sling it over your back, hobo-style.

I have a backpack/chair combo thing that I take to the beach. If I don't want to carry that I have a small Filson field bag.

I thought you just went to the beach on Fire Island in your thong? What more do you need to carry?

If you roll your own thongs, you can build in some extra storage area, Uncle Dirty-style.

I like to carry some $ with me and I feel bad giving the bartender a sweaty 10.
