Getting colognes to last longer

I noticed most colognes don't last that long on me. I normally spray them on my arms right after my shower. Of course the scents are pretty intense the first 5 minutes but after that they tend to fade pretty rapidly. Anyone know of any good tricks to keep the scents around for longer than a 1/2 hour or hour? I'm presently wearing throughout the week several different colognes.

Hermes - Concentrate De Orange
Bond 9 - Chez Bond
La Base - La Base for Him

Your post makes sense. Colognes need oily skin to hold and last. Right after a shower there is nothing for the cologne to grab onto.

If baby oil is too greasy for you, try moisturizer. But you get the idea.

Just fyi, colognes last a lot longer than you think they do. It just happens that your nose gets used to it pretty quickly.

If you moisturize thyself prior to spritzing, be mindful of any scents in the lotion or potion.

In other words, take care not to mix and match too many scents. That goes for shower gel, etc. as well.

And think "pulse points."

The inside of the wrists...

Inside of the elbows...

behind the knees...

one small spritz on the carotid artery.

And always remember... your fragrance should enhance your appearance, not announce it.

Perfectly said. There is nothing better than having a great scent on - and having an attractive woman notice it faintly, but then tell you that you smell good, as she leans all the way into your neck for a full on whiff. Once you get that "lean in", you are half way home...and your cologne has done its job.
