Hey guys, Im gonna head to Canada with some friends this weekend (Friday through Monday). Ill be heading to Vancouver and Calgary. Any suggestions for Street wear stores or restaurants/bars I should go to?

I'm not very familiar with Vancouver, but I know I'd hit up Roden Gray if I were going there. Both cities have a Holt Renfrew which (you may or may not know) is our "high-end department store". Both cities also have a Gravity Pope which is a very good casual shoe store. ...there's more I could add, but that's a good start.

Yeah... here's the thing about that though. 1. Harry's destroys Holt's for Men's Wear. Fortunately, they're right next to each other. 2. Gravity Pope is hopelessly overpriced. But I'd still drop into GP to have a look around and maybe try something on (to later buy for 1/3 the price online). Dutil Denim (on W. Cordova st.) and Roden Gray (on Cambie St.) would be worth a trip. Make a point of going to a decent restaurant while you're here. Coast would be a good one for a visitor, it has a great view of coal harbour. Vancouver kind of sucks (well not kind of, we absolutely suck) at bars, but if you're flying in, drop into the Flying Beaver Bar & Grill right next to the airport south terminal, have some good bar food and watch a few seaplanes take off.

theres no way harry's kills holts. if you want to go to harry's to get all your hugo buss, armani, and only well known "upper end" brands, you can go there. i dont know maybe the one in toronto (holt renfrew) is better then vancouvers for mens wear i dont know.

Cowboys is closed right now and looks like they are not going to be getting it opened before stampede. There are some other decent clubs to see but nothing to special. Shopping sucks IMO since finding SF although both holts and rosens are having sales.

Might be late, but ALIFE has a store in Gas Town.

I might go to Vancouver this weekend. Not sure what else to do...might hit up Granville Island.

Calgary sucked! Everything was closed after 5 on Sunday and it was rainy shitty weather so I kicked back with some whisky and hung with friends. Vancouver was great, weather was perfect and it really seems like a clean version of Seattle.

Glad you had a good time here. Come back again, we need your tourism dollars.
