Well I just finished soaking my RRDSs and I thought I should share my experience.....Nasty! I gave em a good hot soak inside-out first.

When I picked them up out of the water it was like mud was dripping from them. So gross. Then I turned them right-side-out and soaked them again with the same result. I cant believe how much **** has accumulated on my jeans over the past 8 months.

Unreal.

Haha.. it especially seems more dirty because the water isn't drained. If you just throw it in the wash you don't get a chance to see all that grime sail away

Thanks for sharing the experience and not resorting to the search button to see if there is a similar experience that would result in you not posting

Try the search three more times, in several languages. If you still find nothing, turn off your computer and go to bed. Tomorrow, go to the library and browse their reference section, making sure no one has ever printed a word about what you are about to post. Wait a week. If no one here even mentions any of the words in your title, then maybe you can start a new thread. But you probably shouldn't--it's going to piss someone off. We are all very busy people.

Rule number one about StyleForum: Don't start a new thread.

Rule number two about StyleForum: Don't start a new thread.

Rule number three about StyleForum: Don't break rule number one.

have they lost much colour? i am in a quandary, my slim jims are at about 8 months unwashed and they are fine- but have gone a bit baggy and especially are starting to bulge at the knee. i think a soak might shrink them back a bit but i dont want to lose the colour

i soaked my AJDH after about 3 months. they didn't lose much color except around the back of the leg opening where they get a lot of abrasion. they're still dark everywhere else and starting to look pretty good. lots of dirt and whatnot came off in the tub and they've fit better since then. i say go for it.

I like how you managed not to read/understand anything in this thread, or even the thread title. He already soaked them.

the yellow/brown color you saw was probably a lot of the starch as well (along with your dirt). you would have seen the the dirty yellow/brown water if you had soaked them brand new.

They really didnt lose any indigo at all. I didnt move the jeans at all in the tub so indigo didnt really escape. I'm not sure how they fit yet their still really wet.
