It will hardly matter for you. It is likely to make a noticeable difference to an olympic athlete whose three-a-day workouts are so closely spaced that improving recovery time by even a small percentage means he/she can push the limit that much more in his/her next workout.

If I do that, I will puke out my guts after doing sets of balls to the wall squats and deadlifts.

I trained with powerlifters for a while, and they all ate before working out; a protein bar at least, often a proper meal. I certainly thinks it helps me lift heavier and try to do the same.

Try eating things that digest quickly (carbs rather than protein) and see if it makes a difference for you. You could even try a glass of juice just before you start which, while not ideal because the carbs are simple rather than complex, at least won't make you puke.

you def need some carbs before your workout or you won't be able to maximize your workout.

i like to chew a pack of juicy fruit during my workout.

i kill a mountain dew right after lifting on my way home and have a protein shake mixed with water (for faster absorption).

Apply your relevant info into this site's formula...

Use whatever is needed to get you to the goals described there. I prefer Isopure protein powder from GNC. It has 40g protein and 0 carbs/ serving.
