Coping with bad purchases - Page 3

Yeah, I was a little disappointed in the shape of a jacket I just got in the mail. Not the size so much as the cut or drape. I took out scissors, thread, and needle, did a little creative work to the waist band, and it's much better. When it's not so far off, you can make it work sometimes. And then again some of us can just make anything look good.

No, the guy who made the thread but I guess it could have been directed at anyone

I've thought of doing this for a laugh actually.

As for willing them to fit, did it. Cold soaked and had a tug-o-war with my mother.

Just a reminder that most brands can be purchased in the states for a slight premium and with the ability to return :P

Oh, yea I bought my Sammy's from BIG, but I had an urge for an authentic pair with arcs - which I feel is the way we all should be able to get them. Not a huge deal, but if I had to choose....... But yes, I know BIG accepts returns. Either way, I'm confident that I'll be able to sell and re-order the right size without taking much of a loss. We'll see.....

Yeah. BTW, you should consider the 003, they feel great and the color is sick too.

I've seen it before, but I'm having trouble finding what the difference is between the models. Are the 003's just left hand twill/darker in color? How would the sizing differ? Are the 003's sanforized?

Ahh, here it is. It's not listed here, but it looks like the 003 is just "left handle".

I know this effects fading, but I'm not sure about the difference in sizing. Back to shitty sufu for some research.....

I believe the LHT is the only difference, which means they should feel smoother and will fade differently (bears link below has an example). I'd imagine sizing is the same, I can't tell you for sure though :P I only tried those on and not the 103. Would have picked up in a second if they were a little longer. That said, I don't see them anywhere so maybe its discontinued. http://item.rakuten.co.jp/bears/studiodartisan-sd003/

I can't find them anywhere either, but I've read a bunch about left hand twill and still don't have a grip on exactly what it means. OFF THREAD TOPIC, but many people seem to swear that the fade is superior. More vertical or something?

Found this on sufu: http://supertalk.superfuture.com/sho...&postcount=144

I don't have any experience with the SD-003 except for trying them on.

Not to belabor the point, but I think the only difference is twill - same exact cut. Real shame they can't be found anymore I think I can pull through with come counseling....
