^once you add them to your cart they discount the VAT...

For those of you who are having issues with them being slightly big just throw an insole in them and they will be snug and much more comfortable... Thats what I did with mine and they actually fit perfectly.. (Mine have since been retired after being involved in my motorcycle accident

I may be in the minority, but I actually like the bigfoot look of boots with slim jeans. Jpmg, for example, wears these and tricker's logger boots very well with slim jeans, imo. It is a more severe proportion, though.

I think it depends on how slim we're talking about. I think they would look silly with TFs or slimmer jeans, but they'd look fine with Mics or the like....

I wear mine with my KMW 1980s and they look great. I know 1980s aren't too slim a jean, but they're far from a bootcut.

Shit, tks for pointing that out drizzt3117, I'll definitely keep that in mind for future reference in case I see something (else) on cultizm I'd like to order.

A quick update on my sizing saga: I had sent an e-mail to the fine folks at getoutside.com this morning. They called me back a short while ago and agreed to ship me a pair of size 8 and charge me the old listed price of $179CAD for this second pair as well. I should get them by Monday, at which time I'll be able to try both the 8 and 8.5 and put any doubts I still have about sizing to rest. They also mentionned that I have their last 8.5 and will receive their last size 8. Whichever I don't keep is going back to them the next day...

My only regret so far is not ordering the 8 and 8.5 from the start; I would've been wearing the right pair today and whining about the painful break-in instead of waiting for a second pair to determine the best size for me!

Uh, yeah. I'm supposed to be running my first half-marathon on the 19th and if I don't/can't, I'm blaming it solely on these boots!

Or bakershoes.com for $200 incl shipping, drop shipped from MN. Support a local retailer!

Agreed. The GT is on the sleek side for a casual boot, and it works fine with a slim straight leg. I wear it with my Acne Mics and ES Fultons, something I would not do with, for example, my Frye Brandos or Alden Indys.

bakershoes raised their prices to 209 as I found out yesterday

Have you considered running the half-marathon in your 9011? That should really allow for a proper break-in! You might have to amputate your feet after though...

Did they protect your ankle in the crash though? Thinking about getting a pair, it'd be nice if I could ride with them on.

Well I received a second pair for comparison today, in size 8. NO WAY could I fit in them. They're both too short and too narrow for my size 9D feet. I'm keeping the 8.5, count me among those who suggest sizing down 1/2 size from your usual dress shoe size in these.

So boys....I know this isnt about the 1911s but oh well...

My girlfriend really wants to get my 875s for xmas but she cant find them anywhere(I know she always does her xmas shopping early). Does anyone know where she can find them for a good price. She is in nursing school at the moment so isnt exactly rolling in dough.

Thanks

^ Must admit I wasn't too fond of the white sole, but it's kinda growing on me...Would make a great present! There a quite a few shops that sell these, 3 quick search results:

Apparently, the 875 also runs big:

For casual riding they'll do the job. ie. protect your toes and ankles from road rash.. I wore them to ride to my office so that I wouldn't have to change.. But usually when I go out riding I wear Dainese boots which have the armor in the ankles to prevent them from being snapped.. When I got in my accident I basically slid on the asphalt so my ankle didn't twist or anything.

Here is a pic of part of the damage one of the boots had:
