Philly Cheesesteak w/veggies? Unforgivable...

I was at Subway the other day and I ordered a foot long Philly Cheesesteak, pissing me off. The bitch helping me asked what kind of veggies I wanted to go with it. I looked at her and said "No". She had this puzzled look on her face. She asked "You sure"? Then I was like "Bitch, don't ask me again". She put the sandwich together then I snatched it from her real fast. Then she asked me if I wanted something to drink. I said "Get me a Dr. Pepper bitch". She told me how much I owed. I didn't feel like paying...I said "Bitch, that's a mistake"! I walked off with my food (without paying) but before I left, I tore down the life size cut out of Jared and punched a hole into his stomach. Unforgivable...

funny post!! Yea the closest you come to vegetables on a cheesesteak is onions. However, Im from Philly and am sure your subway sandwhich taste nothing like a real cheesesteak anyway so who cares do it up how you want.

yeah, the unforgiveable part was ordering a philly cheesesteak at subway..... i'm from philly as well, and pretty much don't bother with cheesesteaks outside philly.

I had a traditional Philly Cheesesteak ("whiz wit") at Geno's and found it a bit . . . spartan. I like mine loaded with provolone cheese, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms.

Huh?

BTW, I live in Honolulu so the real thing is hard to come by. I made up my mind that I didn't want veggies when I noticed that they didn't have sauteed onions. I remember on Food Network they highlighted that one shop I'm guessing its what you Philly natives referrered to as Gino's.

Isn't there a way to eat one of those too? Some sort of stance or position possibly found in the Epicurean Kama Sutra?

Hilarious,

Philly cheesesteak in Hawaii. Don't everything in Hawaii has some pineapple added to it?

BTW, Ricks for cheesesteak. No exceptions.

If you're in Socal/LA area...it's all about Fredo's Cheesesteaks on Lake Ave in Pasadena

bread "imported" from Amorosa's bakery....the steak used is the highest grade that can be made into cheesesteak stuffage, whiz if you want it. (I like the white american). it's like crack, we go every sunday for our fix

I like Jim's on South and Geno's if the gf isn't around (she's from Philly and claims it's tourist food, I think it's still good). Wiz, pizza sauce, mushrooms and onions!

Never order that microwaved BS from Subway. If it doesn't have Wiz or Provolone and is served on an Amorosa roll, it can't be called a Philly.

Yea but a Cheesesteak hoagie isn't really a traditional Philly cheesesteak. Geno's is alright, but Steve Prince's Steaks here in Philly is probably the best cheesesteak you can get. Geno's is just a little bit of a bigger name.

^^^ I second Get Sassy's recommendation. Actually, I thought Fredo's had a better sandwich than Geno's, no question. GS, Chad said Fredo's wasn't the same last time he went. Said they had a different cook and the taste was all off. Be a lobster and fed ex me one so I can judge myself.

I grew up outside Philly. I bet I averaged three cheesesteaks a week between the ages of 8 and 22. Maybe five per week during the college years.

You can definitely put whatever the hell you want on your cheesesteak.

Perhaps, but the cheesesteak hoagie perfected the cheesesteak.
