Neiman marcus last call - Page 2

Kabert, I am confused - is Last Call a separate store (like Off 5th) or is it simply the sale at the normal NM. I know the store at Mazza Gallerie, and it is certainly not an outlet.

Would anyone happen to know if any of these sales take place in the NYC/ Long Island area?
There are no Neiman Marcus retail stores or Neiman Marcus Last Call Clearance Centers on Long Island. Oyster Bay was rumored to be getting a Neimans, but the townspeople were opposed to the building of another mall and blocked Taubman. You can drive to Westchester for a Neiman's store or hit the Jersey malls. Also, at Jersey Gardens (an outlet mall in Elizabeth, NJ - next to Ikea) there is a Neimans Last Call. Another Last Call is at Woodbury Commons, but I find their selection to be horrible and picked over, likely due to the massive crowds they get. There is an Off Saks at the Tanger Outlet mall in Riverhead and one at the Mall at the Source (very close to Roosevelt Field). Have you tried Filene's Basement? One is in Manhasset but I never find great deals there, at least compared to the city locations. Your best bet would be to check sample sale listings in NYC. There is a Ferragamo and Versace sale coming up in the next week.

For clarification, Neiman's outlet stores are called Last Call. During seasonal sales at their retail stores the first markdown is called First Call. The final markdown, which comes about a month later, is anywhere from an additional 30-50% off, and is also called Last Call. Can be confusing....

SteveB, do you mean that the sales called the "First Call" and "Last Call" are at the REGULAR Neiman Marcus stores?

Yes...I think the Last Call sales at the regular Neimans stores existed before the outlet stores, and they carried the Last Call brand over trying to establish/continue brand recognition. I'm with you and find it pretty confusing...

So, would it be better to go to the regular NM store for their "last call"? Or to the NM Last Call store for their sales? Classic

Can anyone provide some information on the NM Last Call in Auburn Hills? I will be in the Detroit area in the next couple of weeks and am wondering if it would be worth a visit?
Like most of them, it can be hit or miss.  Worth a visit since there is also a Off 5th.  Other than that nothing worth writing home about.  There is also a real NM and Saks in Troy.  Off I-75 it is exit 69, "Big Beaver Road."  Yes, that is exit 69, Big Beaver Road.
Isn't that the one at the shopping center formerly known as Somerset Mall? I used to work at 15 Mile and Rochester Rd. Bradford P.S. So if you look at the NM web site, I was right. There is a full Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale and the Neiman Marcus Last Call store in Tempe.

Someone mentioned if there was a last call in the Scottsdale area. I went to one in either Phoenix or Tempe it seems. It was so-so compared to the one in Primm. The Primm store had the $550 Cole Haan Werner shoes last weekend for $199 plus an additional 30 percent off.

I have tried Filene's and it's an absolute waste of time. Thanks for the info.
